Women Empowerment Session
The term “Women Empowerment” refers to empowering women with education, employment, decision making, and better health in view of an equal and just society. Women Empowerment is a process to make the women financially independent, educated and progressive, enjoying a good social status. Women since ages have been struggling to be socially and professionally recognized as equivalent to men. Women empowerment is the empowerment of women which helps them to take their own decisions by breaking all personal limitations of the society and family.
With this concept, the ‘Vivacity Club’ of Metas Adventist College had organized “Women Empowerment Day”. It was the first time that any event related to empowering women was organized, hence the in charges of vivacity club planned to mark this event successfully. The event was conducted on 9th July 2019 at 10.30 to 11.30, in the conference room of the college with all the girls’ participants. Around 80 girls participated in the event. Initially, the girls were shown a video which promotes and projects women empowerment strongly. The club invited the girl students of the college, who are Energetic Entrepreneurs Experienced or undergoing Startup in any field (large scale or small scale) were called upon and felicitated by the college.
Total 10 such entrepreneurs were felicitated. This was to encourage them and other girls who are taking this wonderful initiative to empower women. Their names are as follows:

- 7. JHANVI KEWALRAMANI (TY BBA A)
- 8. JANVI BANSAL (SY BBA-B)
- 9. Devanshi Lunkad (SY BBA B)
- 10. HIRAL NARENDRABHAI HIRPARA (SY BBA D)
All these girls were felicitated by Ms. Ruchi Bambhania by giving away flowers, badges and a token of appreciation. Ms. Ruchi also motivated all with her enthusiastic and courageous speech. At the end, some fun activities and games were planned for the girls. The first game was a memory game into which slide shows with all the prominent women personalities were shown to them. The girls had to remember the names and write it on a piece of paper provided to them, after the end of the slide show. Total 15 personalities were shown to them. Ms. Shreeta Dave and Ms. Radhika Bansal won this game by writing 14 right answers.
The second game was a group activity, where the girls were divided into a group of five. Each group had a leader, who was blindfolded. There was a path made with the paper glasses scattered all over. The leader was supposed to pass this path without touching the glasses or crushing them. The rest of the team members were supposed to guide her in this task. This particular game was to generate a team spirit in the girls. Total 8 groups registered for this game. The team of TYBBA C was announced the winner of the game as they completed this task successfully. The word of thanks was given. The hosts of the event were Ms. Shelly Chopra (TYBBA A) and Ms. Khyati Patel of SYBBA C section. In essence, the event was a great success with the contribution from the management, help of the volunteers and the efforts of the in charges.
