Unraveling Excel for Statistical Analysis

The METAS Adventist College organizedthree days workshop on “Unraveling Excel for Statistical Analysis” for faculty and staff members to create awareness in research area and usefulness of MS- Excel and its features in research. The experts from the outside have been invited to conduct sessions for three days. The, HODs of Commerce and Management Department, staff and faculty membersmade their gracious presence in the workshop.

The workshop was conducted for three days by four esteem resource persons from BRCM College of Business Administration - Dr.Jayesh Desai, In-charge Principal, Dr.Neha Sheth Asst. Professor, Mr.Mrunal Joshi Asst. Professor& Dr.Ushma Desai. First day session was conducted by Dr.Neha and Dr.Ushma, which covered the topics ‘Introduction to Statistical Analysis’ and ‘Basics of Data Analysis’. Next day, the session was headed by Dr.Ushma and Dr.Mrunal covering advanced topics ‘Introduction to parametric and non-parametric testing’ and ‘Non-parametric testing’. On the last day the session was headed by Mr.Mrunal and Dr.Jayesh with the topics ‘Parametric testing’ and ‘Correlation and regression analysis’. This workshop was useful to conduct the research in more systematic manner.It has focused on the basic fundamental level research to the advanced level research.

Faculty and staff members appreciated to the management and team members for organizing an informative and innovative workshop. Faculty members have learnt the advanced way in the area of research, how to handle and analyse data with the latest advanced tools of MS-Excel.

Faculty and staff members ofcommerce and management departments had participated very enthusiastically. They gained an advanced level knowledge and developed insight, how to use excel and its tools for statistical analysis. The President of the METAS Adventist College appreciated this activity.
