Stock Simulation Game

The main objective of the event was to give an insight to the students about the working of stock markets and the trading mechanism on stock exchanges in India.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

The resource person, Dr. Radha Vyas, was welcomed by Mr. Mohan Rao with a bouquet. The speaker then addressed the students and explained about the stock market in India and about the trading mechanism on stock exchanges. She gave an ‘App’ to the students for downloading. This ‘app’ was related with the live stock market session where live prices of various stocks could be seen. Virtual amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- was given to the students for investment and disinvestment within a predefined time limit i.e. intraday trading. At the end of the time limit, whosoever made the largest amount of profit would be the winner of the game. Trophies were given to the winner, first runner up and second runner up. Vote of thanks was delivered.

CONCLUSION:

Students learnt about the intricacies of the stock markets, the movement of prices of various stocks and to take decisions about buying and selling stocks in live stock market.
