Blood Donation Camp

The Vivacity Club of METAS Adventist College organized a “BLOOD DONATION CAMP” in association with the Surat Raktadan Kendra and Research Centre. The volunteers of the club and faculty in-charges planned and organized this event. The President of METAS, HODs of Commerce and Management Department, staff and faculty members, students made their gracious presence in the camp.

The camp was conducted in a systematic manner with thorough check up of potential donors including their weight, blood pressure, haemoglobin content in the blood etc. The hall in hospital was utilized for checkup, as well as donation itself and also donors could lie down and recuperate for a while before they leave venue. Refreshments were provided to the students who were part of the camp.

Students from all the departments of the college had participated very enthusiastically. More than 80 students had joined for the camp, out of 50 students were allowed to donate blood. Each of the donor has received a certificate from Surat Raktadan Kendra and Research Centre. They also got a donor’s card as an incentive, to get an unit of blood available at a discounted rate from blood bank in next one year. The President of the METAS Adventist College appreciated and congratulated the donor.

Any event is impossible without volunteers, who work at the backstage tirelessly for the event's success. Include all their names and their priceless contributions and activities for the accomplishment of the event.
